Summit Sports Inc., a multichannel retailer of outdoor recreation and sports products, has named former eBags Inc. marketing analyst Brad Kopitz as Internet marketing manager.

In his new position, Kopitz will supervise all Internet marketing efforts across Summit’s 18 niche retail e-commerce sites, which include Skis.com, InlineSkates.net, Hockey.us and Sunglasses.biz. Summit, which did more than $12 million in web sales last year, is No. 492 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide.

At eBags, which is No. 114 in the Guide, Kopitz initially worked as a marketing assistant before winning promotion to marketing analyst.

Farmington Hills, MI-based Summit also operates four bricks-and-mortar sporting goods stores—three multi-category sporting goods locations and one dedicated ski shop—in Michigan.
