GSI Commerce Inc. has appointed executives to lead two marketing units for the e-commerce services firm. John Healy becomes CEO of MBS Insight, which focuses on customer database marketing. Joe Gagnon is the new president of e-Dialog, an e-mail marketing provider. Both companies are part of GSI’s Global Marketing Services division.

Both report to Chris Saridakis, CEO of GSI’s Global Marketing Services division.

Healy was CEO of Dydacomp, which sells technology for multichannel retailers. He also has worked for marketing services companies such as R.L. Polk, Equifax, DoubleClick and Primis Marketing Group.

Gagnon was e-Dialog’s chief client officer and its executive vice president of product marketing. He also worked as CEO of Exit41, a company that sells order-taking technology for restaurants. Prior to that, he was vice president and global leader of IBM’s Business Consulting Retail Industry business.

“Innovation in e-mail marketing is critical to helping our clients achieve their goals. I am confident that Joe’s leadership coupled with the dedication and intense focus on clients from the entire e-Dialog team will position the company and clients for long-term success,” says Saridakis.

Last month, eBay said that it would buy GSI Commerce for $2.4 billion.
