QVC tops Gomez’s overall mobile performance rankings for February

QVC’s mobile commerce site led in overall performance among large retailers.

QVC’s mobile site, m.QVC.com, performed the best among the mobile commerce sites of large web retailers in February, says Gomez, the web performance division of Compuware Corp. Gomez tests 15 large retailers every month for mobile response time, availability and consistency, using for four mobile devices: Apple’s iPhone, Sprint’s HTC Hero, T-Mobile’s HTC Dream and Verizon’s Droid.

Last month, m.QVC.com produced an average mobile response time of 2.41 seconds, an availability score of 99.96% and an average consistency score of 2.21 seconds, giving the retailer the best average across the four mobile devices for all three statistics.

M.Newegg.com finished second in rankings with an average response time of 4.96 seconds, an availability score of 99.90% and an average consistency score of 2.75 seconds. Amazon’s mobile site placed third in the February rankings with an average response time of 4.52 seconds, an availability score of 99.97% and an average consistency score of 3.18 seconds. Williams-Sonoma.com and OfficeMax.com rounded out the top 5.
