Women’s apparel retailer The Limited was a latecomer to the e-retailing scene—it didn’t launch an e-commerce site until 2008—but it’s a little quicker to get in on the mobile game. The retailer, operated by Limited Stores LLC, is launching tomorrow a mobile commerce site.

Mobile shoppers will be able to track orders, find store locations, see special offers, read customer reviews, check out new arrivals and shop customer favorites. The site also will show shoppers exclusive outfitting ideas and recommendations on how to pair products to complete a look.  M-commerce technology provider Usablenet Inc. built the mobile site. Usablenet has built sites and apps for such retailers as Office Depot and outdoor apparel and gear retailer REI.

“We are constantly looking for ways to enhance the online shopping experience for our clients,” says Brian Seewald, director of e-commerce at The Limited. “By streamlining the site experience, we’re giving her access to fashion using all of the devices she’s already carrying around with her. It’s the perfect extension of our multichannel strategy.”
