Overstock, QVC and Apple rank first in November availability testing

The web retailers were tops in high broadband availability tests for November, says Gomez.

Overstock.com, QVC.com and Apple.com ranked first in high broadband availability tests among large retailers for November, says Gomez, the web performance division of Compuware Corp. Last month, online shoppers using Internet Explorer could access both Overstock.com and QVC.com 99.99% of the time. Apple.com averaged 99.99% availability in Firefox testing last month.

Apple.com and Macys.com averaged 99.98% availability for Internet Explorer while BestBuy.com, CDW.com and VictoriasSecret.com tied at 99.96%. Rounding out the top five for Firefox testing were QVC.com (99.95%), BestBuy.com and CDW.com (99.94%) and VictoriasSecret.com (99.91%).

The average Internet Explorer availability for the top 23 retailers in November was 99.73%, Gomez says. The average Firefox availability for the same group of retailers tested last month was 99.47%.
