Ian MacDonald
Ian MacDonald has joined The Pond Guy Inc. as director of e-commerce. ThePondGuy.com, based in Marine City, MI, claims to be the nation's largest mail-order pond, lake, water garden and water feature supply company.
MacDonald will be responsible for growing the e-commerce business, with a focus on advertising and marketing, web site and backend systems, and conversion optimization.
MacDonald joins The Pond Guy after nearly 10 years at CenturyNovelty.com, where he most recently was vice president and general manager. He started at the party supplies, favors and decorations retailer as a part-time cashier and in his 10 years there held such positions as marketing manager and customer service supervisor. During his time, he helped transform the 60-year-old company from a bricks-and-mortar store to a pure-play Internet retailer.
