Web site optimization and personalization vendor Maxymiser Inc. today announced the hiring of Scott Gilbert as director of digital optimization, responsible for overseeing sales and development. The company sells web content optimization and personalization services.

The London-based company launched in 2006 and established a U.S. office earlier this year, a Maxymiser spokeswoman says.

Gilbert formerly worked at Webtrends Inc., which also sells content optimization services. He also worked as a senior solutions consultant at Optimost, a digital optimization technology vendor.

“Scott is a thought leader in the digital testing and optimization arena, and his addition to our team will help accelerate our North American expansion,” says Mark Simpson, Maxymiser’s founder and president. The London-based company launched in 2006. Gilbert will work from the company’s New York office. Maxymiser’s U.K. e-retail clients include TheHut.com and MandMDirect.com.

Gilbert says he hopes to provide clients the best return on their digital marketing investment. “I look forward to showing the North American digital marketing and e-commerce community how a true multichannel solution can vastly improve their bottom line,” he says.
