Two of the new employees come from customer review site Yelp.
Comparison shopping site TheFind.com has hired two executives who helped build Yelp, a site where consumers review all kinds of businesses, from restaurants to bike shops. The site also has hired a spokeswoman.
Nish Nadaraja joins TheFind as marketing director, a role similar to his job at Yelp, the comparison shopping site says. Nadaraja will oversee marketing along with TheFind’s online community and social commerce efforts.
Michael Ernst becomes creative director, charged with what TheFind says is “developing a sophisticated digital aesthetic for the brand to match its engineering ingenuity.”
TheFind also has hired Alison Deyette as spokeswoman and the site’s resident savvy shopper. She will not only help promote the site but share shopping, fashion and lifestyle advice with site visitors. Deyette has written for national newspapers and magazines and worked as a runway producer, fashion director and stylist, TheFind says.
“With 25 million unique monthly visitors, TheFind is easily the most active shopping engine most people still haven’t heard of, and Nish, Michael and Alison are going to help us change that,” says Siva Kumar, co-founder and CEO of TheFind. “Heading into the holidays and 2011, we have built a superior resource for all shoppers, and our new consumer marketing team is responsible for making every visitor’s experience memorable and repeatable.”
