Sugar Inc., which operates web sites that sell apparel, shoes and beauty products, has bought MyPerfectSale.com, a private sale site with 500,000 registered members focused on sales of high-end designer apparel and accessories.

The purchase price was not disclosed.

Sugar Inc. will keep MyPerfectSale.com as a separate brand. Sugar operates ShopStyle.com, where consumers can shop for apparel and related items sold by various retailers. The company also operates FreshGuide.com, a local daily deal site, and the PopSugar network, which offers original content and social media services for female consumers.

Sugar plans to absorb MyPerfectSale’s eight employees, increase the site’s presence in the United States and help it expand into international markets such as the United Kingdom, Japan, France, Germany and Australia, where Sugar operates.

“MyPerfectSale will now be able to leverage ShopStyle’s network to increase its reach and differentiation in the fast-growing market,” says Andy Moss, president of ShopStyle.

MyPerfectSale also operates DesignerApparel.com, where consumers can find fashion deals from U.S. department stores, luxury retailers and fashion boutiques.
