The Jones Group Inc. has promoted Ron Offir, formerly president of e-commerce, to president of Jones Direct Group. Offir will be continue to oversee e-commerce retail sales and will also direct Jones' direct-to-consumer business. Jones markets directly to consumers through branded specialty retail and outlet stores and through its e-commerce sites.
Additionally, Jones has named Rick Paterno, formerly the president of Wholesale Better Footwear Brands, as group president of footwear. Paterno will lead Jones' wholesale footwear businesses, both in the United States and abroad. In his former role, Paterno oversaw Jones’ Nine West's wholesale sales of such brands as Nine West, Bandolino, Enzo Angiolini, Circa Joan & David, AK Anne Klein, Boutique 9 and Easy Spirit.
Both Offir and Paterno report to Richard Dickson, president and CEO of branded businesses. Dina Battipaglia, group president of handbags, and Fran Lukas, group president of Jones Jewelry Group, will also report to Dickson.
Jones says the restructuring comes after the resignations of Andrew Cohen, formerly CEO of footwear, accessories and retail, and Jay Friedman, who led the company-owned retail business. Both left the company to pursue personal interests, Jones says.
"We congratulate Rick and Ron on these well deserved promotions. This management restructuring gives more dedicated leadership to these specific categories of business and will help The Jones Group continue to develop into a premier portfolio of brands in fashion," Dickson says.
