Bon-Ton adds big and tall men’s apparel from Casual Male

Casual Male expands its product offerings into a new shopping channel

The Bon-Ton Stores Inc. is selling men’s big and tall apparel on its e-commerce site under an agreement with Casual Male Retail Group Inc. Product offerings include sportswear, outerwear, shoes and accessories.

“The agreement with Bon-Ton allows Casual Male to expand its product offerings into a new shopping channel,” says David Levin, president and CEO of Casual Male Retail Group“The arrangement will not only offer a meaningful merchandise assortment for Bon-Ton’s male big and tall customers, but will also give Casual Male exposure to Bon-Ton’s customers, who are typically female.”

Bon-Ton operates 277 department stores and web sites under the Bon-Ton, Bergner’s, Boston Store, Carson Pirie Scott, Elder-Beerman, Herberger’s and Younkers brands.

“We’re very excited about our strategic alliance with Casual Male, a leader in men’s big and tall apparel,” says Bud Bergren, president and CEO of Bon-Ton. “Their dominant position in this important niche market will allow us to offer our customers hard-to-find sizes in a wide variety of basic casual wear and sportswear.”

Casual Male, No. 311 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, operates 442 Casual Male XL retail and outlet stores in the U.S., Canada and Europe, as well as CasualMale.com, its e-commerce site.
