Lands’ End hires a new vice president and merchandising chief

Chris Kolbe, EVP, chief merchandising and design officer for Lands' End

Lands’ End has hired Chris Kolbe as executive vice president, chief merchandising and design officer. Kolbe oversees design for the apparel retailer, along with retail, direct and international merchandising.

He reports to Nick Coe, the retailer’s president. Lands’ End is part of Sears Holdings Corp., No. 8 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide.

Kolbe previously was as president and chief merchandising officer at Lucky Brand Jeans, whose parent company is Liz Claiborne Inc., No. 327 in the Top 500 Guide. He also has held jobs with Mexx Europe, Polo Ralph Lauren, Urban Outfitters, Original Penguin, J. Crew and Saks Fifth Avenue.

 

 

“Kolbe has strong, proven leadership skills plus an incredible talent that he's demonstrated at other highly recognized retail and apparel brands,” Coe says. “His experience with international and premium brands has prepared him well for this global leadership opportunity.”
