ColdwaterCreek.com paces top retailers in response time for July

ColdwaterCreek.com gave shoppers the fastest high broadband access time among large web retailers last month, says Gomez, the web performance division of Compuware Corp. In July, ColdwaterCreek.com produced a high broadband response time of 3.83 seconds.

Cabelas.com had the next best high broadband response time with 5.78 seconds, followed by Amazon.com (5.82 seconds), Dell.com (5.88 seconds) and CDW.com (6.27 seconds).

In June, a shopper with a high broadband connection could access a top retailer’s web site in an average time of 9.48 seconds, up from an average of 7.51 seconds in June. In July, 29 of the 50 major web retailers tested beat the average of 9.48 seconds.
