Art.com draws in a new head of marketing

Art.com Inc., an online retailer of posters, prints and artwork, has hired Andrew Wait as chief marketing officer.

Wait will oversee the e-retailer’s marketing operations and strategy, including online marketing, international marketing, user experience and product management, branding and business development.

Wait previously worked as senior vice president and general manager of genealogy site Ancestry.com. He has also worked as senior director of marketing at Kodak Gallery and senior director of marketing for EarthLink’s PeoplePC Brand.

Art.com has been increasingly focused on expanding its international footprint. In April the retailer launched 10 new country-specific websites for its AllPosters brand, bringing the brand’s total number of international sites up to 21
