Gilt Groupe names three executives for its new site

Nate Richardson, former vice president and general manager of Gilt Groupe Inc.’s Gilt Man men’s wear section of members-only, limited-time sales e-commerce site Gilt.com, has been named president of Gilt City.

Gilt City is the company’s new retail site for buying event tickets and services ranging from restaurant meals to dry cleaning. Gilt Groupe is No. 140 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide.

Prior to Gilt, Richardson was the founding CEO of ContentNext Media, a business-to-business media news company, where he led the operation’s sale to U.K.-based Guardian News & Media. Richardson was also head of DowJones Online, where he oversaw Marketwatch, WSJ.com, Barrons.com and other media sites. Earlier, he led Yahoo Inc.’s Yahoo Finance news section.

Gilt has named Zach Overton as director of ticket sales for Gilt City. Overton joins Gilt City from Plum Benefits, a members-only online tickets marketplace, where he was vice president of entertainment sales. Earlier, Overton managed Theatre.com, a London-based sister company of Broadway.com.

Gilt has also appointed Angela McManamon as senior director of regional sales, East Coast, for Gilt City. McManamon joins Gilt from HopStop.com, where she was director of ad sales. Prior to HopStop, McManamon was a regional sales manager at Citysearch.com.
