ColdwaterCreek.com is tops in June response time

ColdwaterCreek.com gave shoppers the fastest high broadband access time among large web retailers last month, says Gomez, the web performance division of Compuware Corp. In June, ColdwaterCreek.com produced a high broadband response time of 3.85 seconds.

Overstock.com had the next best high broadband response time with 4.43 seconds, followed by Dell.com (4.50 seconds), LLBean.com (4.69 seconds) and Amazon.com (4.89 seconds). Amazon.com turned in the fastest response time for shoppers using a low broadband connection at 15.02 seconds. Dell.com posted the next fastest low broadband response time at 15.43 seconds.

 In June, a shopper with a high broadband connection could access a top retailer’s web site in an average of 7.51 seconds, compared to 27.33 seconds for a low broadband connection and 65.77 seconds for a dial-up connection.
