Sears Holdings Corp. is expanding to parts of the Chicago area home delivery of groceries, prescriptions and other items from its mygofer.com e-commerce site, effective July 4. Sears introduced home delivery from mygofer.com Memorial Day weekend in Manhattan and the Hamptons section of Long Island.

Shoppers can also place orders at mygofer.com for pickup at 150 Kmart locations in 18 states or a dedicated mygofer pickup location, a converted Kmart store in Joliet, IL.

“Our innovation centers around convenience,” says Imran Jooma, general manager of e-commerce at Sears, No. 8 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide. “Mygofer is about time—time savings and convenience, helping customers save time and giving them more choices than ever before.”

Delivery fees will vary by market, Jooma says.

Sears Holdings is the parent company of the Sears and Kmart retail chains and of web and catalog retailer Lands’ End.
