Zaldiva Inc., a multichannel retailer of comic books and collectibles, has hired J. Ernest Brady as vice president of acquisitions.

The retailer, which hired commercial real estate and electronics industries veteran Stephen Ballard in November to bolster its strategy of acquiring small retailers and building up their online presence, says it plan to expand its operations and increase its market share through acquisitions in the comic and entertainment markets. To advance that growth, ZalDiva plans to spend up to $3 million.

Brady has 15 years of experience working in corporate development for companies such as Extended Stay America and Office Depot.

“Ernest Brady brings a level of experience that will guarantee ZalDiva a larger presence in the comic and entertainment market over the next three years,” says Nicole Leigh, ZalDiva president.
