ValuePetSupplies.com, an e-retailer serving pet owners, groomers, veterinarians, rescue organizations and pet stores, has added a wholesale operation to its e-commerce offering. The retailer says it introduced wholesale priced bulk offerings to better serve organizations as well as individuals seeking quantity discounts and free shipping.

“Our business model has been to sell in bulk at low prices and the new wholesale offering is a natural next step,” says ValuePetSupplies.com marketing director Nick Carter. “In the two weeks since launching wholesale, we’ve shipped hundreds of orders, so the market is responding very quickly.”

Consumer pet owners make up the majority of ValuePetSupplies.com’s client base. However, pet stores, groomers, veterinarians, rescue groups and other organizations are a growing revenue stream for the company, Carter says.

“Pet stores utilize us as a virtual warehouse for expensive products like aquarium canister filters, bulky products like puppy pads, or natural treats like bully sticks that are difficult to source,” he says.

The wholesale section can be accessed via clicking the Wholesale button on the e-retailer’s home page. No membership fees or passwords are required.
