E-commerce revenue grows modestly for AutoZone in Q3
Internet Retailer calculates the web accounted for 1.9% of total sales.
Web sales grew, but not by much for AutoZone Inc. in the third quarter of fiscal 2010.
For the third quarter, AutoZone, No. 109 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide reported:
Web sales, which includes all sales from AutoZone.com and AllData.com, which sells diagnostic and related repair work software online, increased 4.7% to $34.92 million from $33.35 million.
Total sales increased 10.3% to $1.82 billion from $1.65 billion in the third quarter of fiscal 2009.
Comparable-store sales increased 7.1%.
Net income increased 16.7% to $202.7 million from $173.7 million in the third quarter of fiscal 2009.
Internet Retailer calculates the web accounted for 1.9% of total sales compared with 2.0% in the third quarter of the prior fiscal year.
For the first three quarters, AutoZone reported:
Web sales increased 1.4% to $146.98 million from $144.95 million in the first nine months of the prior fiscal year.
Total sales increased 7.2% to $4.91 billion from $4.58 billion in the previous year.
Comparable-store sales increased 4.7%.
Net income increased 11.5% to $469.4 million from $420.9 million.
