CDW.com had the best consistency rating among large retailers for April, says Gomez, the web performance division of Compuware Corp. The computer equipment retailer had the best site loading time across the measurement period at 19.37 seconds.

Rounding out the top five retailers after CDW.com, Gomez listed Overstock.com (20.37 seconds), Amazon.com (20.91), Staples.com (21.19), and Williams-Sonoma.com (21.33).

In April, 25 of the 48 major retailers tested topped the group’s average consistency score of 24.07 seconds.

The consistency ratings take into account differences in the speed of web page delivery across multiple visits during April. The lower times indicate the least variation among total load times.
