The board of directors of dELiA*s Inc. has appointed Walter Killough CEO. Killough previously worked as the teenage girls’ and young women’s apparel retailer’s chief operating officer.

Killough succeeds Robert E. Bernard, who will be pursuing other opportunities.

“Walter is a well-respected business executive both inside and outside dELiA*s,” says Carter S. Prior to joining dELiA*s in December 2005 as chief operating officer, Killough was chief operating officer of Alloy Inc.’s retail and direct consumer division. Before Alloy he was at J.Crew for 14 years, working as its chief operating officer and as an executive vice president.
