EBags’ traffic grew 207% in March

EBags attracted 2.82 million visitors in March, a 287% increase from March 2009, as it registered the biggest traffic increase among apparel and beauty products during the month, Nielsen NetView reports.

The top 10 online apparel and beauty shopping destinations in March with unique visitors in millions this year compared with a year earlier and the percent change, according to Nielsen NetView, were:

     

  • eBay Clothing Shoes & Accessories, 5.34, 6.57, -19%
  • Avon, 5.27, 3.95, 33%
  • Old Navy, 4.81, 3.54, 36%
  • Victoria’s Secret, 4.79, 4.89, -2%
  • Zappos.com, 3.97, 5.25, -24%
  • The Gap, 3.31, 3.81, -13%
  • EBags.com, 2.82, .92, 207%
  • eBay Jewelry and Watches, 2.56, 2.72, -6%
  • Nike, 2.32, 2.10, 10%
  • Lands End, 2.30, 3.89, -41%

Unique visitors count only once each shopper who came to a site, no matter how many times the shopper visited. This is a custom list compiled by Internet Retailer of the top e-commerce sites in this category based on Nielsen Online data. Rankings may contain multiple web sites from the same retailer or manufacturer. Additionally, Nielsen has recently expanded its panels of Internet users and, effective with June 2009 data, this may affect the percentage change from previous results for some sites.
