Content delivery network operator Akamai Technologies Inc. reports double-digit revenue and net income growth in the first quarter ended April 28.
For the first quarter of fiscal 2010, the technology vendor reports:
- Revenue grew 14.1% to $240.0 million from $210.4 million in Q1 2009.
- Net income grew 10.2% to $40.9 million from $37.1 million in Q1 2009.
“E-commerce continued to be our fastest growing vertical, increasing 19% over Q1 of last year, but declining 5% compared to Q4 due to normal seasonality, primarily in our advertising decision solutions,” said J.D. Sherman, chief financial officer, during a conference call with analysts.
