Online photo services and social expressions retailer Shutterfly Inc. has named Vlad Kuznetsov as vice president of application development. He’ll oversee the company’s e-commerce applications and the development of new products.

Kuznetsov previously held several positions at Walmart.com, including director of web engineering, engineering manager and software engineer.

Shutterfly, No. 69 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, also named Albert Tsang as vice president of architecture.

Tsang will oversee the company’s platform engineering, which includes managing Shutterfly's shared services platform, which allows users to create a photo album and then invite others to upload their own photos to the album.

Tsang previously worked as vice president of engineering and technology at online travel site cFares.

Tsang and Kuznetsov will both report to Neil Day, senior vice president and chief technology officer.

"We are very excited to build upon the strength of our incredible industry-leading technology team with the addition of Albert and Vlad," says Day. "Both bring an amazing set of technical skills that will assist in Shutterfly's continual growth in innovative products and services that have driven our success thus far."
