Shopping search engine TheFind names a chief technology officer

TheFind has named Shashikant Khandelwal as its chief technology officer. Khandelwal developed TheFind’s original search engine prototype while working on a computer science master’s degree at Stanford University.

Shopping search engine TheFind has named Shashikant Khandelwal as its chief technology officer.

Khandelwal, who had been TheFind’s chief architect since the company’s 2005 founding, developed TheFind’s original search engine prototype while working on a computer science master’s degree at Stanford University.

"Shashi`s vision has already helped TheFind build a technology platform that makes the world a better place to shop," says Siva Kumar, TheFind co-founder and CEO. "As technology continues to reshape the retail landscape, Shashi`s leadership will enable TheFind to bring ever more creative and elegant solutions to market."

TheFind.com, which shoppers can access via its web site, mobile site and iPhone app, claims 17 million unique visitors per month and an index of more than 400 million products from nearly 500,000 online merchants.
