FootHealth, which sells such products as comfort shoes, insoles and heel pain treatments, has launched a fully transactional m-commerce site targeting on-the-go shoppers. The site is accessible from any web-enabled mobile device but is specially optimized for mobile consumers using iPhone, BlackBerry, Android and Windows Mobile smartphones.

Shoppers access the site by entering into their mobile browsers FootHealth.com, which automatically detects a mobile device is making a server request and redirects the request to the mobile-optimized site, built by the merchant’s e-commerce platform provider, ShopVisible LLC.

Unlike many mobile commerce sites, FootHealth.com stresses site search, placing the search box at the very top of the home page and subsequent pages. Also on top are the toll-free customer service number, a button for the shopping cart and a button for contacting FootHealth via e-mail.

In addition to searching for a product, shoppers can drill down by category in just a few clicks, such as from Feet Cushions to Toe Cushions to the soft toe splint product, then clicking on Add to Cart if desired.

ShopVisible reports it will launch three more of its retailer e-commerce clients into mobile commerce in the coming months.
