The search giant today launched an app called Inbox that could force retailers to change their e-mail marketing strategies.
The Shoe Salon, an app for the iPhone and iPod Touch, offers a pair of high-end shoes on sale exclusively through the mobile app and New York store for 24 hours. Customers can log in to their accounts and complete purchases in the app.
Consumers looking for the latest in high-end shoes can buy them anywhere, anytime, through the Shoe Salon, a new mobile app for the iPhone and iPod Touch from Bergdorf Goodman Inc.
The multichannel luxury retailer’s app features one pair of shoes each day, giving shoppers 24 hours to buy the shoes, offered exclusively through the app and at the Bergdorf Goodman store in New York. Customers receive free, expedited delivery with purchase.
“We expect the convenience and ease of purchasing through the Shoe Salon app to be particularly enticing to those customers who travel or are unable to visit our store,” says Jim Gold, president and CEO of Bergdorf Goodman.
Customers with e-commerce site accounts can log in through the app to access shipping and payment information. Anyone using the app can share the daily featured shoe with friends via e-mail.
