President steps down at parent of music and DVD retailer FYE.com

Jim Litwak has resigned as president of Trans World Entertainment. Chairman and CEO Robert Higgins will take over Litwak’s responsibilities, and the retailer is searching for a new head of merchandising and marketing.

Jim Litwak has resigned as president of Trans World Entertainment, whose e-commerce properties include FYE.com and WhereHouse.com. Chairman and CEO Robert Higgins will take over Litwak’s responsibilities, and the retailer is searching for a new head of merchandising and marketing.

Litwak’s resignation will be effective Feb. 16, the retailer says.

"We wish Jim all the best and want to thank him for his hard work and effort," Higgins says.

Trans World is a specialty retailer of entertainment software and of CDs and DVDs. Its e-commerce properties also include SecondSpin.com and Suncoast.com.
