Retail Forward joins several consulting firms to form Kantar Retail

Retail consultancies Retail Forward, MVI, Cannondale Associates and Glendinning Management Consultants have joined to form Kantar Retail, a unit of WPP, a global advertising and marketing services company.

 

Retail consultancies Retail Forward, MVI, Cannondale Associates and Glendinning Management Consultants have joined to form Kantar Retail, a unit of WPP, a global advertising and marketing services company.

"We are very excited about the future of Kantar Retail," Wayne Levings, CEO of Kantar Retail, says in a posting on the Retail Forward web site. "By providing our clients with access to breakthrough retail and shopper insights, industry-leading tools, best-in-class capabilities and resources under one umbrella, Kantar Retail is uniquely positioned to help our clients achieve competitive advantage in the marketplace and ensure they are optimally positioned for the future."

Retail Forward and each of the other partnering firms will eventually migrate to using only the Kantar Retail name, though all senior executives from the firms are expected to remain with the new organization, a spokeswoman for Retail Forward says. Retail Forward formerly operated as a unit of TNS Group, which was acquired by Kantar Group in 2008.

Kantar Retail operates with 400 employees across 15 markets and has more 300 clients among retailers and branded manufacturers.
