Sigma Micro and Stark Bro’s Fulfillment combine under the Fifth Gear name

Sigma Holdings Inc. is consolidating the operations of its two businesses—Sigma Micro LLC, a retail software vendor, and Stark Bro’s Fulfillment, a provider of outsourced fulfillment services—under the new Fifth Gear brand.

Sigma Holdings Inc. is consolidating the operations of its two businesses-Sigma Micro LLC, a retail software vendor, and Stark Bro’s Fulfillment, a provider of outsourced fulfillment services-under the new Fifth Gear brand. Sigma Micro sells the SigmaCommerce order management and fulfillment software suite.

Sigma Holdings acquired Stark Bro’s in 2007.

“Between our Sigma Micro and Stark Bro’s fulfillment services we serve over 100 direct-to-consumer clients,” says Matt Konkle, Fifth Gear president. “We found that only a portion of our clients understood the full breadth of our operations. We saw an opportunity to provide a more holistic offering.”

The new company is comprised of three primary components: outsourced business services, technology services and interactive marketing services. It is positioning itself as a provider of a range of services for direct-to-consumer companies, says Konkle. “This organization allows us to present ourselves as a single-source partner,” he says.

There were no layoffs as a result of the restructuring.
