Kellwood Co., an apparel manufacturer and web merchant, has acquired Isis, a women’s outdoor performance and casual apparel manufacturer and online retailer. Terms of the deal, which was completed through Kellwood’s American Recreation Products business, were not disclosed.

“In an otherwise challenging retail and fashion marketplace, Isis continues to perform well, with solid operations, a loyal customer base, and a track record of growth,” says Michael W. Kramer, president and CEO of Kellwood, which owns and operates brands such as Phat Fashions LLC, No. 332 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide (a PDF version of the company’s financial and operating profile can be ordered by clicking on its name).

Kramer says that Kellwood aims for Isis to double its sales in the next four years.

Kellwood is an affiliate of private equity firm Sun Capital Partners Inc.
