Sears.com begins shipping to 90 countries

The multichannel retailer is offering more than 300,000 products for sale to consumers abroad. A filter allows shoppers to select only items that can be shipped to their destinations.

Sears.com has begun shipping to consumers in 90 countries, including the U.K., France, Germany, Spain China, India, Japan, Argentina and Brazil.

"We are excited to offer this new international shipping option to our customers," says Imran Jooma, senior vice president for online at Sears Holdings Corp. "With our large product assortment and the capability to ship products internationally, we hope to make shopping easier and more convenient, both for customers in the U.S. with friends and family overseas, and for international customers who would like to purchase products from Sears.com."

The multichannel retailer says it will ship abroad more than 300,000 products in such categories as tools, children’s and infant clothing, shoes, jewelry and home furnishings. A filter allows shoppers to select only items that can be shipped to their destinations. Items eligible for shipment abroad are denoted with a globe icon.

Sears also has created a Spanish-language version of its site at www.sears.com/espanol. The site went live Sept. 15 to coincide with the start of Hispanic Heritage Month.
