Starting Nov. 5, customers shopping at hundreds of merchants including Best Buy, Shoebuy and Zappos can receive offers such as free shipping and cash-back when making online purchases through eBay Inc.’s PayPal, the payments company says.
The offers will be highlighted on PayPal’s web site, as well as on its Twitter and Facebook fan page. “When consumers come to the PayPal site, they can be focused on finding ways to save,” says a PayPal spokeswoman.
When shoppers use their PayPal account to pay, they can find offers including:
- Both Best Buy Co. and Shoebuy.com, Nos. 10 and 90, respectively, in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, will offer $20 cash-back on purchases of $100 or more.
- OmahaSteaks.com and SmartBargains.com, Nos. 111 and 101 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, will offer up to 20% off on all PayPal Purchases.
- Walmart.com, No. 13 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, will offer free site-to-store shipping.
- Zappos.com, No. 27 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, will offer free shipping on shoes and free overnight shipping on clothing from Nov. 10 to 16.
The promotions, which runs through Jan. 12, will also include a daily cash giveaway and a sweepstakes that offers a $50,000 grand prize.
