Web ad personalization firm Aggregate Knowledge names a general manager

David Jakubowski, most recently senior vice president at Specific Media, has been named chief revenue officer and general manager. He will be responsible for strategic planning, direction, growth and profitability of Aggregate Knowledge.

David Jakubowski, most recently senior vice president at online advertising network Specific Media, has been named chief revenue officer and general manager at Aggregate Knowledge, which provides technology for optimizing the relevance of online display advertising.

Jakubowski will be responsible for strategic planning, direction, growth and profitability of Aggregate Knowledge.

Before Specific Media, he was general manager of Microsoft Corp.’s adCenter and Search Strategy and also was a senior vice president at search engine marketing firm Quigo Technologies Inc.

"David`s depth of experience in complex search and display platforms, combined with his revenue focus and track record of delivering time and time again for the Fortune 500-including virtually every major ad agency-gives him a unique foundation to build companies upon," says Paul Martino, CEO of Aggregate Knowledge.

Aggregate Knowledge also has disclosed that it is seeking to raise its third round of funding. The company announced in April 2007 raising $20 million in its second funding round, which brought the total invested in the company to $25 million. Prior investors include venture capital firms DAG Ventures and Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers.
