Consulting firm bulks up its e-commerce expertise by buying Irish Titan

Platinum Management, which has engaged Irish Titan to work with its clients for the past year, now has acquired the web design and marketing firm that has developed its own e-commerce platform geared to small and midsized companies.

Platinum Management, which has engaged web design and marketing firm Irish Titan to work with its clients for the past year, now has acquired Irish Titan. The purchase price was not disclosed.

Irish Titan CEO Darin Lynch will continue to lead Irish Titan, which has developed an e-commerce platform geared to small and midsized companies and offers web design and online marketing services. Before founding Irish Titan in 2004, Lynch had been chief information officer at online retailer 2nd Swing Inc. and a business systems manager at Wilson’s Leather.

It’s the first time in its 27-year history that Platinum Management has acquired a company, says Dean Bachelor, chairman of parent company Platinum Group, which has invested in more than a dozen companies over the past 15 years.

“Darin Lynch’s expertise and our resources will enable Irish Titan to grow,” Bachelor says. “The company offers a proprietary e-commerce platform and online strategy expertise that many small and middle-market businesses need to compete in today’s web-based economy. This complements Platinum Management’s business renewal, turnaround management, strategic planning, and sales and marketing consulting services.”
