Fiona Dias joins Advance Auto Parts’ board of directors

Advance Auto Parts, a multichannel retailer of automotive aftermarket parts, continued bolstering its e-commerce expertise by appointing Fiona Dias, executive vice president at GSI Commerce Inc., to its board of directors.

Advance Auto Parts Inc., a multichannel retailer of automotive aftermarket parts, continued bolstering its e-commerce expertise by appointing Fiona Dias, executive vice president, partner strategy and marketing at GSI Commerce Inc., to its board of directors.

In March the company named Scott Bauhofer to the new position of senior vice president and general manager of e-commerce. Bauhofer is overseeing development of the company’s e-commerce sites for both consumer and commercial customers, with responsibility for creative, content, operations, customer care, web analytics and marketing, Advance Auto says.

In February Advance Auto promoted Kevin Freeland to chief operating officer, responsible for overseeing daily e-commerce operations and merchandising, inventory management, supply chain, store operational support, information technology and consumer experience. He had been executive vice president in charge of merchandising, supply chain and information technology since joining the company in February 2008.

“We are delighted to welcome Fiona to our board of directors,” says Jack Brouillard, chairman of the board for Advance Auto Parts. “Fiona is a veteran retailer, marketer and a recognized leader in multichannel e-commerce marketing and interactive marketing. We look forward to her contributions to our board and to Advance Auto Parts.”

Dias also was appointed to serve on the finance committee for the board of directors. She has been with GSI Commerce, a provider of e-commerce and interactive marketing services, since 2007. Prior to that, she was executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Circuit City Stores Inc., and president of Circuit City Direct.

Advance Auto is No. 261 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide.
