Expansion Marks Company’s First Acquisition, Direct Presence Outside of U.S.

INDIANAPOLIS (Sept. 8, 2009) – ExactTarget, a global provider of on-demand email marketing and one-to-one marketing solutions, announced today it has launched a new international division in London following the acquisition of U.K.-based Keymail Marketing.

The new division, which serves as the headquarters for ExactTarget’s operations outside of North America, allows the company to directly support the international needs of its multinational clients and expands its offerings to marketers in the growing UK and European markets.

“Our new London operation allows us to better serve our global clients and introduce more organizations to our powerful platform that allows marketers to deliver unmatched return on investment with relevant, multi-channel communications,” said Scott Dorsey, co-founder and chief executive officer of ExactTarget. “The acquisition of Keymail Marketing is a key component of our aggressive global expansion plan and provides tremendous opportunity to penetrate the UK and European market.”

Founded in 2005, Keymail Marketing was a platinum reseller of ExactTarget’s technology in the U.K. More than 70 European clients previously served by Keymail Marketing will now be served directly by ExactTarget, including: Reed Exhibitions, Aurora Fashions, Aegon, Value Retail, British Standards Institute, Gulf Air (Bahrain), Carrier International (France), UKTI (Belgium), Utimaco (Germany) and QlikTech (Sweden).

“We have enjoyed a long relationship with ExactTarget and have relied on the company’s software for years to power the campaigns of our European clients,” said Jeff Barnes, general manager of Keymail Marketing. “This transaction provides our clients new resources to grow their email marketing and one-to-one marketing campaigns through direct access to ExactTarget’s expanded global product line.”

ExactTarget co-founder Peter McCormick leads the company’s international operation from London, as general manager of ExactTarget Global. McCormick, along with a team of sales, services and technical experts, began servicing international clients from the London operation today.

The news of ExactTarget’s international expansion and acquisition of Keymail Marketing comes four months after the company announced a $70 Million round of venture capital funding that has fueled the company’s product development and international expansion.
