Page Mage’s Flash-based platform provides eBay sellers with easy-to-use tool that turns listings into captivating interactive advertisements

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – August 12, 2009 – Page Mage, an approved eBay listing solution, today officially launched its third-party developer tool to the public at www.pagemage.com. Utilizing a Flash-based platform, eBay sellers now have the ability to create customized, interactive listings, complete with rich-media features like video, embeddable image galleries, and animated text, all in a single Web-based program.

Page Mage allows the description area of the listing to be customized with layered text and images, video, image galleries, clipart, designer templates, and more. All of the tools are easily added through Page Mage’s drag-and-drop tool, requiring no coding or design expertise from the seller. The easy drag and drop interface makes it easy to resize images, videos, and text right on the page, so no additional applications are needed for image manipulation.

“Page Mage allows merchants to enhance their customer’s shopping experience by focusing on important product features in a captivating way.” said Eric Scifres, founder and CEO of Page Mage. “What’s more, eBay sellers no longer have to pull rich-media and creative content from multiple sources. Everything they need is available in the Page Mage tool. And, our current tools are only the first phase of a long string of listing enhancements we have in the works.”

In addition to a tool that creates customized, rich-media listings, Page Mage users can also take advantage of social media features that allow them to post entire eBay listings into blogs and social networking sites. Armed with the capability of embedding a published listing on various sites, eBay sellers have the potential to drive more traffic, which can translate into more bids.

“Page Mage empowers sellers with the ability to present themselves and their products in a way that will quickly capture the attention of potential customers.” said Jill Sherman, chief marketing officer of Page Mage. Sherman who has over a decade of executive marketing and advertising experience, was also a former PowerSeller. “Page Mage users are not limited to entering information into pre-designed grids and have a variety of options for building an eye-catching listing. The added social media features are just the icing on the cake.”

Page Mage offers a 60-day free trial to all new users. Two pricing structures are available: Pay-As-You-Go (for sellers who post less frequently) or a flat-fee of $34.95 per month (which includes unlimited listings, photos, rich-media upgrades, clipart galleries, and more). Full details on pricing and promotions are available at www.pagemage.com/pricing.
