Evri, a technology company that develops products to help consumers find and engage with content on the web, has named Will Hunsinger, former head of Gap Online, as CEO. He replaces Neil Roseman who joined Evri after leaving Amazon.com in 2007. Roseman is leaving the company, but will remain on the company`s board.

Hunsinger brings years of experience in web marketing and business development to the company. He most recently was CEO at advertising company Adeze and also was an entrepreneur-in-residence for Seattle-based venture capital firm Maveron LLC.

At Gap Online, he oversaw business operations, business development and product management work in two positions: vice president and general manager and vice president of product management for Gap Direct. Before Gap, he worked at Overture Services as senior director of strategy and new business development. He also has worked at Business.com as vice president of business development and product management. Hunsinger began his career at Andersen Consulting, now Accenture.

“We are very excited to welcome Will Hunsinger to join this great team as CEO,” says Microsoft co-founder and Evri Chairman Paul Allen. “Will’s experience in marketing and business development will help us take our great products to the next level, showing consumers the power of Evri and building more partnerships with the web’s leading information sources.”

"I quickly recognized Evri`s potential to redefine how consumers discover, interact with, and share Web content,” says Hunsinger. “Evri has a clear technology lead in the field of semantic, natural language understanding of web content and has proven it can apply this technology to build great products that operate at web scale. I am looking forward to joining this talented team and helping drive the company toward continued success."

In addition to serving on Evri’s board, Roseman plans to work with Vulcan Capital as an entrepreneur-in-residence, focusing on new early-stage consumer web opportunities.
