bebe picks former Forever21 exec for merchandising post
Women’s apparel retailer bebe stores inc. has appointed Kathy Lee, a former senior vice president of merchandising at competitor Forever 21, as chief merchandising officer.

Women’s apparel retailer bebe stores inc. has appointed Kathy Lee, a former senior vice president of merchandising at competitor Forever 21 Inc., as chief merchandising officer.
Lee, who was a general merchandise manager at bebe before joining men’s and women’s apparel retailer Forever 21, has more than 28 years of experience in specialty retail and department stores, bebe says.
“We are very excited to have her back in the bebe family managing merchandising, design and planning, and allocation,” says bebe chairman and CEO Manny Mashouf.
Bebe designs, develops and produces contemporary women’s apparel and accessories, which it markets under the bebe, BEBE SPORT, bbsp and 2b bebe brand names. The retailer sells through its e-commerce site, bebe.com, and more than 308 stores in the U.S., the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Canada. Bebe is No. 285 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide.
