Kellwood names a new head of e-commerce

Kellwood, which owns and operates brands such as BabyPhat.com and PhatFarm.com, has hired Eric Hunter as senior vice president of marketing and brand awareness. In addition to overseeing marketing, Hunter will also be in charge of e-commerce.

Kellwood Co., an apparel manufacturer and web merchant, has a new head of e-commerce.

Kellwood, which owns and operates brands such as BabyPhat.com and PhatFarm.com, No. 332 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, has hired Eric Hunter as senior vice president of marketing and brand awareness. In addition to overseeing marketing, strategy and communications, Hunter will also be in charge of e-commerce and related Internet initiatives.

Hunter joins Kellwood from PMK/HBH, a public relations and marketing firm where he worked as an executive vice president with retail clients such as Abercrombie & Fitch Co., No. 58 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide. Hunter also has held executive positions with News Corp./Twentieth Century Fox.

Kellwood continues to expand its e-commerce base. In May Kellwood re-launched teen apparel brand XOXO on an updated e-commerce platform featuring more social networking. Kellwood licenses the XOXO brand.
