Almost 90% of Top 500 merchants use shopping portals

Shopping portals are important doorways that e-retailers in the 2009 Top 500 Guide used to reach their customers last year: 87% of online merchants in the Top 500 have a presence on the major shopping portals and comparison sites.

Shopping portals are important doorways that e-retailers in the 2009 Top 500 Guide used to reach their customers last year: 437, 87%, of Top 500 web merchants have a presence on the major shopping portals and comparison sites.

A total of 357 e-retailers, 71% of web merchants in the 2009 Top 500 Guide, used Google Product Search last year, followed by ShopWiki.com with 280 (56%) and SHOP.COM with 269 (54%). Smarter.com and Yahoo Shopping were both used by 256 e-retailers, or 51%.

The two shopping/comparison portals with the smallest number of Top 500 e-retailers were Buzzilions.com, used by 88 (18%), and FindGift.com, used by 41 (8%).
