Apparel and accessories retailers lead response time

Apparel and accessories merchants delivered the best response time in April to shoppers with a high broadband connection, says Gomez.

Apparel and accessories merchants delivered the best response time in April to shoppers with a high broadband connection, says Gomez Inc.

Shoppers with a high broadband connection could visit an apparel and accessories retailer’s web site in an average time of 6.46 seconds, Gomez says, compared with computers and electronics retailers (7.10 seconds), mass merchants (7.40), and specialty merchants (8.05).

When a site is accessed by a dial-up connection, apparel and accessories retailers also provided the fastest average access at 58.30 seconds, Gomez says. The next fastest web retailing category was computers and electronics retailers at 59.45 seconds, followed by mass merchants at 60.24 seconds.
