Volusion creates a new position: chief customer officer

The e-commerce technology vendor has appointed David Mitzenmacher to the position. Mitzenmacher previously was an executive at Rackspace, where he was responsible for improving customer experience and service delivery.

Volusion has appointed David Mitzenmacher to the newly created position of chief customer officer.

Mitzenmacher joins the e-commerce technology vendor after working as an executive at Rackspace, where he was responsible for improving customer experience and service delivery. He led customer loyalty initiatives including the development of an experience management program. He previously held other strategic and operational leadership roles at Rackspace.

Prior to Rackspace, Mitzenmacher held a variety of customer experience and technology positions at GL Services, FedEx/Kinko’s and PureNET.

“David has spent his entire career building exceptional customer experiences,” says Kevin Sproles, CEO of Volusion. “This talent and experience is critical for Volusion with our large and growing customer base. We are and will always be focused on powering our customers’ online success, and David will reinforce and build on this commitment.”
