Electronics e-retailer taps Overstock exec as new e-commerce manager

Electronics and satellite services e-retailer AllAmericanDirect.com has hired Shawn Schwegman, formerly of Overstock.com, as its new e-commerce marketing director. The company also is hiring salespeople.

Online electronics and satellite services retailer AllAmericanDirect.com has hired Shawn Schwegman, former senior vice president of technology at Overstock.com, as its new e-commerce marketing director. The company also is hiring salespeople.

In his new role, Schwegman will oversee AllAmericanDirect.com’s branding and national marketing strategy and will work to add more major manufacturers to the company’s offerings.

“On behalf of our entire organization, we are extremely pleased to welcome Shawn to our extraordinary team,” says Mike Mountford, CEO of AllAmericanDirect.com. “We are confident in his ability to analyze the evolving e-commerce industry and what consumers in today’s economy want from retailers, so we can continue to expand our product line to meet the needs of our customers.”

Schwegman worked at Overstock.com from 2000 to 2005. After leaving Overstock, No. 30 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, Schwegman worked as an independent contractor to e-retailers.

AllAmericanDirect.com is also says it is hiring sales and support employees.
