Tech Global Partners Inc., a consulting firm for retailers, technology vendors and hospitality providers, has agreed to acquire the assets of Consumer Consulting LLC. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The purchase extends Tech Global’s offerings to include business strategy, performance improvement, and consumer intelligence and insights. Consumer Consulting, launched in 2000, provides consulting services to retailers. It works with such merchants Guitar Center, whose Musician’s Friend unit is No. 39 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, and Bose, No. 230.

Consumer Consulting founders Messrs Franczak and Anthony Latona will join Tech Global Partners in senior management roles.

"Combining our capabilities with Tech Global Partners provides our clients more alternatives," says Peter Franczak. "We have a broader scope of services and more capacity to deliver greater value to our clients."

Michael Hess, president of Tech Global Partners says the acquisition will help Tech Global offer more retail-focused services.

"Consumer Consulting has demonstrated success in areas that Tech Global Partners has little previous experience," Hess said. "Our clients and the retail industry-at-large will benefit greatly from the combined service offering Tech Global Partners can bring to market. Our retail technology clients will benefit from the extensive performance improvement competency and models that Consumer Consulting has created. Retailers will appreciate our depth of technology, process and organization knowledge."
