E-commerce tech vendor Infopia appoints new vice president of marketing

Jay Shaffer, a former marketing executive at retailer Wine.com and customer reviews vendor PowerReviews, will head up marketing at Infopia, a provider of an on-demand e-commerce platform.

Jay Shaffer, a former marketing executive at retailer Wine.com and customer reviews vendor PowerReviews, will head up marketing at Infopia, a provider of an on-demand e-commerce platform.

Shaffer, who has been involved in e-commerce industry marketing for nearly 10 years, joins Infopia from PowerReviews, where he was vice president of worldwide sales and marketing and helped build a base of more than 250 clients through direct sales and joint efforts with other technology providers.

"Jay brings with him a unique understanding of our customers` needs and the passion with which they operate their businesses," says Coleman Barney, president and CEO of Infopia. “His e-commerce experience is a perfect blend of retail and vendor know-how.”

Prior to PowerReviews, Shaffer served in executive marketing and other customer-focused positions at several online retailers including Wine.com, No. 207 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, DirectlyHome.com and Ofoto (which is now known as Kodak Easy Share Gallery.)
