Apparel and accessories retailers provide the fastest response time

Shoppers with a broadband connection could visit an apparel/accessories site in about 5.89 seconds, Gomez says, compared with computers and electronics retailers (6.35 seconds), mass merchants (7.33 seconds), and specialty merchants (7.33 seconds).

Apparel and accessories merchants delivered the best response time in February to shoppers with a high broadband connection, says Gomez Inc.

Shoppers with a broadband connection could visit an apparel/accessories site in about 5.89 seconds, Gomez says, compared with computers and electronics retailers (6.35 seconds), mass merchants (7.33 seconds), and specialty merchants (7.33 seconds).

When a site is accessed by a dial-up connection, apparel and accessories retailers provided the fastest average access at 54.16 seconds, Gomez says. The next fastest web retailing category was mass merchants at 55.62 seconds, followed by computers and electronics retailers at 56.58 seconds.
