EffectiveUI, a web site design and development firm, has promoted chief marketing officer Rebecca Flavin to the new position of chief executive officer and director of user experience Peyton Lindley to the new position of executive director of user experience design and technology.
Flavin, who joined the Denver-based firm in 2006 as chief marketing officer, will be responsible for strengthening client relationships and strategic partnerships while also reinforcing EffectiveUI’s strategy of making web sites more usable by all consumers, the firm says.
“Rebecca has a tremendous amount of respect from our clients and our team," says Anthony Franco, president and co-founder of EffectiveUI. "Her professionalism, technical acumen, ability to build and cultivate strong relationships and clear vision of the importance of creating exceptional user experiences complement the efforts that EffectiveUI has made in defining the value of excellent software. I am excited about the opportunity to expand our executive team to better meet the needs of our clients, partners and employees as our company enters into a new era of growth."
Flavin says she’s looking forward to working more closely with companies to improve the user experience across multiple technology platforms. "Current economic conditions present a great opportunity for companies to differentiate themselves by creating more meaningful and compelling customer experiences across web, mobile and desktop applications," she says.
Prior to EffectiveUI, Flavin served in several positions at business services firms, including as president of eCRM Concepts, vice president of client services at e-mail marketing firm Return Path, director of channel relations at e-mail marketing firm Quris Inc. and director of client services for marketing firm MessageMedia/DoubleClick. DoubleClick, which acquired MessageMedia several years ago, is now a part of Google Inc.
Lindley, who has extensive experience with team management, work flow process improvement and collaborative design methodologies, will focus on all levels of project design, development, execution and client interactions. “One of my main goals will be on the confluence of user experience with respect to design and development,” he says.
